Once in a Blue Moon

...there is a sale that you just have to go crazy on. If you aren't a knitter, crocheter or slave to hand dyed yarns perhaps 20% doesn't seem like much. If, however, you are hand dyed devotee, this was amazing sale indeed. I won't tell you how much yarn I bought, but it is safe to say this haul will provide many enjoyable knitting hours. It will be used in socks, of course, but also baby sweaters, perhaps a hat or scarf and most definitely in the long anticipated Charlotte's Web.

I think I finally found my winning combination:

Jade
Puck's Mischief
Jasper
Count Cluckula
Tlingit
And here they are together.

Jade and Jasper should look familiar to you. They are what remain from the first two (failed) combinations.

And here it is: the first two repeats of Charlotte's Web. Once I wind up the Puck's Mischief it will be time for the alternating rows.

I've been dreaming about this shawl since I sat with frigid fingers in the Succah this year. And I am making the Mediumweight version so I'll be able to wrap myself up in all its soft, warm, beautiful glory.

Beautiful purchases! I agree with you that there aren't many sales on hand dyed yarn. Gotta get it while you can!

I also love the color combination and can relate to shivering in a succah. Smart idea to start with plenty of time!

An unbeatable combination: beautiful yarn and a sale. How sweet when those words come in the same sentence :-)
