It's Time for Someone to get a Manicure

Once again I’ve been remiss. This time of year is just as hard to keep up as during the Nine days. Except of course that these are not days of mourning! Tomorrow night is Yom Kippur. Then next week Monday night Succot begins, before you know it it's Shabbos and bam, Monday night it's Tom Tov again, Shmini Atzeret/Simchat Torah. Which means too much food and no knitting. So it’ll be slow. Both moving forward and writing about it. But after that I really will really, really try to get back to my daily blogging. I’m also trying, due to endless pressure from the Cheerleader, to find something else besides yarn and knitting to talk about. I don’t suppose the crochet project I have going counts? Maybe she will be more interested as I start showing progress on her birthday present? Unfortunately I only learned it was Thursday a few days ago. So it won’t be ready by then. I probably won’t have cast on yet. But I know what it is and I have the yarn already to go.

ShiBui Sock in Wasabi and Peony

The colors are a bit washed out by the indoor lighting plus flash but trust me, this should be insanely gorgeous! So what's the project? Why it’s Eunny’s Endpaper Mitts .

I'll probably be using the Peony as the dominant color. And the Cheerleader has lovely hands so I should have a willing hand model when they are complete! I have been wanting to make these for some time. I've been told they are a great first stranded pattern. And I am so ready to dive into color work!
