Don't give up on me yet

It's almost moving day. Scary! Even my little kitty has been neglected. She's still missing a leg, a tail and a face. Packing and selling have been difficult, both physically and mentally, but I have been lucky enough to have a few core friends whose presence has made all the difference in the world. Shoshana, Riki, Debs: I COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU!!!

The last of the sales, the craft supplies sale, is going on right now. You can imagine how well it is going if I am taking time to post! One lovely woman came by who had almost as many interests as I do. She bought out all the paints, half the brushes, some beads, a nice wooden storage box from IKEA and a few more things. Unfortunately no one else is stopping by and I am at a bit of a loss as to what to do with this stuff. Way to heavy, thus expensive, to ship. I guess this too will make the way of the clothes and find its way to a nice Gemach or donated to a school. All the furniture went, YAY!!! and a very good friend, one who loves reading about hi jinx, has offered to let me store some things with her, so though it feels like the apartment is still upside down I will be saying goodbye to it this Friday! All that will be left is the wedding of a dear, dear friend and a fast the next day. I like extremes so I should be OK.

Then it's off to New York where perhaps I may have some hi jinx, FINALLY. I hope to at least make a trip to the Met. Maybe find a knit night somewhere as well. And ten days later it's back to sunny California where I will regroup while I make my long term plans. So bare with me. By the time I get to CA I should have some interesting tales tell and (hopefully) some work to show, at least some advancement on my Arietta. So don't give up on me yet...

Hello! I just found your blog, searching for other Arietta knitters. I'm working on it in the original colours, but I absolutely love the colour choices you've made. Are you moving to the Bay Area by any chance?
Best luck with your move. :)

Hello again. :) The three needle bind off on two needles is very easy. I'd never done it before, and it went very smoothly. I don't think it would make a difference if you went for a traditional 3NBO though! I live in a suburb south of San Fran, so you'll have to let me know when you're in town - we could hit up some San Fran yarn shops. :)

The sale is done, the packing is finished and your stuff is in storage - let the hi-jinx begin!!!
