Luscious

It's been a while since I've had any stash to share, but now I am a member of the working forces. And membership has its privileges.

In a little pre-employment splurge before I headed out to CA, I went into Montclair to visit two great LYS. Stix-n-Stitches and Modern Yarn are only a few blocks away from each other yet each has a very different vibe, and more importantly different yarns.

I bought something from each them both that day, but today I'm only showing off this. Luscious, luxurious, lustrous Manos Silk Blend.

No matter which angle you take a picture from, a multitude of colors burst forth.

The silk simply shimmers in the natural sun light.

And makes you want to feel its caress.

It clearly wants to be a scarf. Perhaps My So Called Scarf. For now I just pet it now and then whilst I ponder the possibilities.

I found your blog on ravelry stix-n-stitches. Your knitting is awesome and your blog is great.
I'm on a mission to start a list of little known bloggers. There are the superstars of knitting blogs that we all read. They get 50,100 and more comments. But there are so many good blogs, with great projects, ideas and amazing fiber artists that no one knows about. Soooo as I find them I would like to list them. Not that it will make a difference because I am one of those little blogs but I'll feel better with blog world. We have started a blog Lesser Know Skeins and may start a group on Ravelry with my daughters help. More info to follow.
Those in the group will place each others blogs on their blog lists. Let me know if you're interested.

Gorgeous yarn! I think I used this same colorway to make a forest canopy shawl (but it took 3 skeins). Can't wait to see what you make with it.
