Making New Friends

Today I made new friends. First there was Madstitcher1, practically a neighbor, whom I met on Ravelry and who offered to take me to a real, live brick and mortar LYS. Then there were the fine ladies at Stix-n-Stitches in Montclair. Now we all know I am on a serious yarn diet, BUT there were a couple of things that just NEEDED to be bought.

Like buttons so I could finish my Rock and Weave socks once and for all.

Some Cascade 220 in black so that I could make my sister's Mystery Birthday present.

And a little Fixation to make the amazing Magic Mirror socks (Ravelry Link), an amazing free sock pattern from the amazing (and generous) sock knitter Jeanie at her blog Sewing, Knitting and Beyond. Did I mention these socks are amazing!

Stix-n-Stitches is a wonderfully airy store with plenty of the top selling yarns. And a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. And there were treats!

I finally have my own Ravelry button (for if I ever get out to a non-virtual knitting event.)

And my very own sock blocker key chain!

Now I have somewhere to put my Wee Tiny Sock from the Ravelry Wee Tiny Sock Swap.

I might even start a collection!
